Michael Dunlop made history at the Isle of Man TT by winning Wednesday's Supertwins race, securing his position as the most successful rider in the event's history.
Northern Irishman Michael Dunlop achieved his record 27th victory at the Isle of Man TT riding his Paton machine, surpassing his legendary uncle Joey's race wins.
The 35-year-old equaled the longstanding record when he won the Supersport opener on Saturday. However, a visor issue cost him a win in Sunday's Superbike race.
Dunlop's successes span 15 years across four different classes, riding machinery from six different manufacturers.
Ballymoney's Michael Dunlop delivered a commanding performance in the Supertwins, leading the race from start to finish. He crossed the finish line with a substantial 20.4-second lead over Peter Hickman, with Dominic Herbertson trailing by an additional 5.5 seconds in third place.
Dunlop's dominance was evident from the first lap, where he clocked an impressive speed of 121.044mph, gaining a 10-second advantage over his competitors.
By the end of his second lap, his lead had extended to 12 seconds over Hickman, and he further increased his lead on the final lap with a remarkable speed of 122.434mph.
This victory marks Dunlop's fourth Supertwins win, adding to his previous triumphs in 2018, 2019, and 2023.
