Draper Shines Brightly, Advances to US Open Quarter-Finals.

Jack Draper says reaching his first Grand Slam quarter-final means "the absolute world" to him after a commanding win over Tomas Machac at the US Open.

The 22-year-old Jack Draper delivered an outstanding performance to defeat Czech player Tomas Machac 6-3, 6-1, 6-2.

Draper is the first Briton to reach the US Open men's singles quarter-finals since Andy Murray in 2016.

"I focused on the basics, stepped up when needed, and was clinical at key moments," Draper told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I felt I competed well and did what I had to do."

Despite losing their previous three encounters, Machac was outplayed by Draper in just 1 hour and 44 minutes.
With notable players like Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz having exited early, Draper has yet to drop a set and is confident he can go far in the tournament.
