Charlie Dobson, 24, surged late to claim victory in the men’s 400 meters at the Diamond League finale, clocking 44.49 seconds—a career-best win.

“Charlie maintained his form brilliantly,” said BBC commentator Steve Cram. “He’s been consistent all year and is one to watch for 2025.”

Olympic silver medalist Matthew Hudson-Smith pulled up early with cramp, while Kirani James of Grenada took second in 44.63 seconds, and Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga placed third with 44.69 seconds.
