Djokovic Frustrated by Unfavorable Wimbledon Crowd Reaction.

Novak Djokovic once again found himself at odds with the Wimbledon crowd, as he accused some fans on Centre Court of using a Holger Rune chant as "an excuse to boo."

This incident adds yet another chapter to Djokovic's tumultuous relationship with the storied tournament.

Despite his remarkable performance on the court, the cheers and jeers from the stands reminded everyone that even champions are not immune to the complexities of fan dynamics at Wimbledon.

During his fourth-round match against Holger Rune on Monday, Novak Djokovic faced a crowd that greeted Rune’s winners and Djokovic's errors with extended chants of "Ruuuuuuu-ne."

Despite winning convincingly 6-3, 6-4, 6-2, Djokovic felt disrespected by the crowd's behavior.

When interviewer Rishi Persad suggested the crowd was merely supporting Rune, Djokovic responded, "I know they were cheering for Rune, but that's an excuse to also boo. I have been on the tour for more than 20 years. I know all the tricks."

Djokovic, aiming for a record-tying eighth Wimbledon men's title and his tenth final at SW19, has had a rocky relationship with the Wimbledon crowd.

After defeating Roger Federer in the 2019 final, his former coach Boris Becker remarked that Djokovic deserved more respect from the partisan crowd.

Two years ago, Djokovic was also booed after blowing a kiss to the fans following his semi-final win over Briton Cameron Norrie.
