Dixon vs. Harper: The Long-Awaited 'Cursed' World Title Clash Finally Happens.

Terri Harper was hesitantly eating porridge mixed with courgette to "add volume" when the phone rang.

The 27-year-old was cutting weight for her world-title fight against WBO lightweight champion Rhiannon Dixon on September 28 when she received the news that headliner Johnny Fisher had been injured.

"Is this fight cursed?" Harper wondered.

Originally, the bout was scheduled for August at Manchester's Co-op Live arena but had to be postponed due to an injury to main event fighter Jack Catterall.

The fight was rescheduled to the Utilita Arena in Sheffield for the next month but then moved to London's Copper Box after Dalton Smith withdrew due to injury.

Despite heavyweight Fisher's withdrawal, promoters Matchroom insisted the bout would proceed.

Harper and Dixon were shifted back to Sheffield and promoted to the main event, although it would take place at the smaller Canon Medical Arena.
