Dinesh Karthik earned a recall to the India squad after 3 years as the 36-year-old wicketkeeper-batter was brought back to the T20I squad for the 5-match series against South Africa, starting June 9 in New Delhi.

Dinesh Karthik has seen it all in his nearly two-decade-long cricketing career. His exceptional passion to come back from difficulties he has to face is great to observe. Two significant comeback men in the squad are veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik and all-rounder Hardik Pandya since last year's T20 World Cup.

A very happy and satisfied Karthik termed this as "most special" comeback. “I am very happy. I am very satisfied. This is my most special comeback because a lot of people had given up on me. For me to comeback and do what I did, practice the way I did, so many special things have happened in the lead up to the rock-shell and how I practiced post that,” mentioned by Dinesh Karthik.
