Dutch forward Memphis Depay has signed a two-year deal with Brazilian club Corinthians, extending through December 2026. He joined as a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid in July.
Last season, Memphis Depay made 31 appearances for Atletico Madrid, scoring nine goals.
The 30-year-old also played for the Netherlands at Euro 2024 but was left out of the squad for September's Nations League matches by head coach Ronald Koeman.
Despite this, Koeman has indicated that Depay's move to Brazil won't necessarily end his international career, unlike teammate Steven Bergwijn's switch to the Saudi Pro League, which Koeman criticized.
“The level of the league in Brazil is different, so Memphis could still be part of the national team, depending on his fitness and form,” Koeman said.
Depay began his career at PSV Eindhoven in 2011 and has since played for Manchester United, Lyon, and Barcelona before joining Atletico in 2023.
