David Miller played his 500th T20 match on Wednesday in Guyana, representing Barbados Royals against Guyana Amazon Warriors. He celebrated with an impressive unbeaten 71 off 34 balls.
But who else is in the elite 500 club, and how do Miller's stats stack up? Let’s take a look.
Breaking New Ground: First South African Joins the Elite 500 T20 Club
David Miller is one of only six players to have played over 500 T20 matches and the first South African to reach this milestone.
The exclusive group is largely made up of West Indians, including Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell, with Pakistan's Shoaib Malik being the only other member.
Miller is the first specialist batter to reach 500 T20 matches. The other players in this group have primarily played as all-rounders for significant parts of their careers, if not throughout.
