Republic of Ireland international Centre-half and Blackburn Rovers defender, Darragh Lenihan has signed a four-year contract with Middlesbrough.
A number of Championship clubs, including Steve Bruce's West Bromwich Albion were in the race to sign Lenihan. Rejecting all deals and offers he finally decided to join Chris Wilder's side (Middlesbrough).
Through out his career he appeared at 252 games for Rovers after joining from Belvedere in 2011.
Lenihan is the north-east club's third signing of the week.
