D'Angelo Russell's impressive performance, scoring a season-high 44 points, propelled the Los Angeles Lakers to a thrilling 123-122 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Russell came through in the clutch, securing the winning points with just 5.9 seconds left on the clock for the Lakers, who were without the injured LeBron James.
The 28-year-old not only displayed his scoring prowess with 44 points but also showcased his playmaking abilities with nine assists. He tied his career-high with nine successful three-pointers.
Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo's eighth triple-double of the season, including 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists, the Milwaukee Bucks suffered their second consecutive loss against the Lakers.
In another game, Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves admitted his "immature reaction" led to his ejection during their 113-104 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gobert fouled out with just 27 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, costing his team dearly.
