Coach Fernando Santos declared that Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Moutinho and Raphael Guerreiro will miss the Portugal's Nations League against Switzerland this weekend.
Without any injury or physical problem the trio will be out of the League just because on " management " grounds. Due to this awkward decision Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner did not take part in the final practice session before the squad fly over to Geneva for the League match.
During a press conference the coach Fernando Santos said that "It's not about physical problems, it's a question of management."
He further added that "It wouldn't make any sense to travel to Switzerland with 26 players, while we can only have 23 on the bench."
Portugal face Switzerland on Sunday to stay top of Group 2 in League A of the Nations League.
