Chelsea have sacked commercial director Damian Willoughby for

English Premier League club Chelsea have officially sacked their recently hired commercial director Damian Willoughby for sending "inappropriate messages" to a female football finance agent prior to joining the club.

Damian Willoughby has shared few inappropriate messages to Catalina Kim before he joined the club last month.

After Chelsea's takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, Willoughby was appointed to a role of commercial director earlier this month. But he has now seen his contract terminated with immediate effect by the Blues. He had previously held posts at Manchester City and gaming company Electronic Arts following a previous spell at Chelsea.

It was reported that Catalina Kim has submitted a complaint to Chelsea's president of business Tom Glick, who had hired Willoughby. She alleged that she had been sexually harassed before he joined the Blues had felt threatened over the phone.
