Chelsea Claims Two-Goal Lead Over Servette in Conference League Play-Off First Leg.

Christopher Nkunku’s penalty contributed to Enzo Maresca's first win as Chelsea manager, with the Blues taking a two-goal lead over Servette in the first leg of their Conference League play-off.

Chelsea, fielding a much-changed lineup, struggled to break down their Swiss opponents until Christopher Nkunku was fouled by goalkeeper Jeremy Frick early in the second half.

Nkunku, one of only two players remaining from the team that lost 2-0 to Manchester City, converted the penalty to score the first goal of the Maresca era. He celebrated with his signature move, inflating a blue balloon for the cheering Chelsea fans.

Chelsea nearly doubled their lead soon after when 18-year-old Marc Guiu capitalized on a mistake by Frick. Guiu, however, missed the chance as Frick recovered to make the save.

Substitute Noni Madueke eventually made it 2-0 with a powerful finish from a tight angle in the 72nd minute.
