Championship Clubs’ Cup Exclusion Deemed 'Appalling'.

Two Championship clubs have called it "appalling" and "unfair" that they're not included in this season's Premiership Rugby Cup.

For the 2024-25 season, the Premiership Rugby Cup has been revamped, featuring only 10 out of 12 Championship teams alongside the 10 Premiership clubs. Cambridge and newly-promoted Chinnor are left out this time.

Last season marked a historic shift, with all Championship clubs participating for the first time in 18 years. This inclusion allowed lower-tier teams to compete against Premiership sides in the cup.
