Carlos Alcaraz after winning his first Grand Slam tournament, produced an remarkable performance to smash out Kwon Soon-woo in straight sets in the Davis Cup Finals to secure Spain victory over South Korea and a spot in the quarterfinals as Group B winner.
Alcaraz, who reached the top of the rankings defeated Kwon by 6-4 7-6(1) after Roberto Bautista Agut had given Spain the lead by knocking out Hong Seong-chan by 6-1 6-3.
Spain will face Croatia (last year's runners-up) in the Davis Cup quarter-finals in Malaga in November while Germany will face Canada in the other quarter-final match.
The Davis Cup knockout matches will start from 22nd November at the Martin Carpena Arena and the final will be staged five days later.
