Cameron Norrie feels relaxed by the thought of facing top seed Carlos Alcaraz at the French Open 2023.

After completion of the ongoing French Open 2023 third round, it's expected that Britain's Cameron Norrie could face top seed, Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open fourth round for the first time.

Following a week of exciting qualifiers, the French Open tournament is now fully underway.

However, Cameron Norrie is still representing the British flag at the French Open and has now matched his own personal best by reaching the third round of the French Open.

He has beaten two home talents to reach round three, being victorious over Benoit Paire in a five-set thriller and over Lucas Pouille in three sets.

Norrie, who is seeded 14th at the French Open, will play Lorenzo Musetti who is seeded 17th. The Italian 21-year-old has beaten Mikael Ymer and Alexander Shevchenko in straight sets to reach the third round of the competition.

On the other hand, Top seed Alcaraz found his range during his opening two matches, defeating Flavio Cobolli in straight sets before he moved past Taro Daniel in four.

Chasing his second major title this fortnight, the 20-year-old will face his toughest test yet when he takes on the 26th Denis Shapovalov for the first time in the third round.

Most interestingly, the winners of both the match will face each other in the last 16.

Cameron Norrie insists he is not distracted by the potential of facing top seed Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round of the French Open 2023.
