Bryce’s First Fifty Propels Welsh Fire to Top Spot.

Sarah Bryce scored her first half-century in The Hundred, leading Welsh Fire to a six-wicket victory over Trent Rockets and taking them to the top of the women's table.

The 24-year-old Sarah Bryce scored an unbeaten 51 off 39 balls, guiding Welsh Fire to a six-wicket win over Trent Rockets with two balls to spare.

Bryce's smart stumping ended Rockets' top scorer Nat Sciver-Brunt's innings at 37, as the home team posted 130-5. Jess Jonassen was Fire's standout bowler with 2-29 and contributed 26 runs in a crucial 38-run partnership with Bryce.

Despite good starts from Nath Wraith, Ash Gardner, and Heather Graham, the Rockets struggled. Bryce's alert keeping saw her dismiss Sciver-Brunt off Jonassen's bowling.

Errors from Rockets fielders late in the game allowed Bryce and Georgia Elwiss, who scored 18 off 15 balls, to secure Fire's third win of the 2024 competition.
