Brownlee's Bid for Olympic Validation in Yokohama.

Jonny Brownlee is gearing up to showcase his fitness at the World Triathlon Championship Series in Yokohama. His goal is to earn a spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics, proving his readiness for the competition.

The 34-year-old Jonny Brownlee, a three-time Olympic medalist, is vying for a spot on the British team for this summer's Games.

With a bronze from London 2012 and silver from Rio 2016, he initially thought Tokyo 2020 marked the end of his Olympic journey, especially after contributing to Team GB's mixed relay gold.

However, a change of heart came when he discovered he had the fastest split in the mixed relay at Tokyo. This revelation convinced him that he still had more to give at that distance, and with Paris 2024 just three years away, he's determined to compete again.

Yokohama will host the first World Triathlon Championship Series event this year, stepping in after the Abu Dhabi races were canceled due to severe weather warnings.
