Broom-Edwards Secures Third Consecutive World Championship Victory.

British athlete Jonathan Broom-Edwards continued his winning streak by claiming his third consecutive high jump title at the Para Athletics World Championships held in Kobe.

Jonathan Broom-Edwards, who won gold at the 2019 World Championships and is also a Paralympic champion, secured another gold at this year's Para Athletics World Championships in Japan. He shared last year's gold in Paris with Poland's Maciej Lepiato.

At the recent event, Broom-Edwards cleared 2.04m on his first attempt, clinching the gold medal. USA's Derek Loccident, a former American football player who lost part of his leg in a train accident in 2019, took silver by clearing 2.04m on his third try, setting a new personal best.

Lepiato, unable to clear 2.04m after three attempts, settled for bronze. Broom-Edwards secured the title on countback after neither he nor Loccident could clear 2.07m.

Reflecting on his win, Broom-Edwards expressed satisfaction with his performance but acknowledged areas for improvement, noting that it's still early in the season. He joked about celebrating too hard after clearing 2.04m, feeling the effects on his body afterward.
