British Boxing Board of Control has banned Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn clash to go ahead this weekend.

The British Boxing Board of Control has officially announced that the clash between Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn has been banned which was scheduled to take place on 8th October 2022, after Conor Benn tested positive for a fertility drug.

The rivals are due to meet in London on Saturday night but the fight was under doubt situation when Benn failed a drug test. Both promoters insist the bout will take place but the Board took a serious decision and has confirmed earlier today that they will not sanction the fight.

Benn and Eubank Jr are set to clash in a catchweight contest after their fathers fought twice in the early 1990s in one of British boxing's greatest rivalries. But the bout was thrown into doubt following reports of Benn's drug test which took place in August.

The 26-year-old, Conor Benn tested positive for clomifene, a substance found in medication used to treat infertile women but which can also boost testosterone in men.
