Brentford's New Signing Thiago Sidelined Until Year's End.

Brentford's record signing, Igor Thiago, will be out of action until the end of the year following knee surgery.

The club's fans, who had high hopes for the Brazilian forward, will have to wait to see him in action. This setback comes as a blow to Brentford's plans, as Thiago was expected to make a significant impact this season.

The team will now need to rely on their existing squad to fill the void left by their star signing.

Brazilian striker Igor Thiago, who joined Brentford last month on a five-year deal for £30m, suffered a meniscus injury during his debut in a 5-2 win over AFC Wimbledon on July 20.

Brentford announced that the 23-year-old will undergo recovery and rehabilitation, with a return expected towards the end of the year.

Thiago previously scored 18 goals in 34 games to help Club Brugge win the Jupiler Pro League. His injury comes amid rumors of England striker Ivan Toney potentially leaving Brentford.
