Brazilian Legend Marta in Tears After Receiving Red Card.

Brazil's top scorer, Marta, left the pitch in tears after receiving a straight red card in their 2-0 loss to Spain in the Olympic women's football tournament.

Marta, who plans to retire from international football this year, was sent off with a red card for a dangerous high-footed tackle in Brazil's 2-0 loss to Spain during the group stage in Bordeaux.

The incident happened just before halftime, with Spain scoring in the 68th minute and again in injury time, extended due to multiple delays.

Brazil now faces the challenge of advancing to the Paris 2024 quarter-finals as one of the best third-placed teams and must await the outcomes of other matches.

Marta, who has previously won Olympic silver in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, holds the record for the most goals in World Cups—17 in 23 appearances across six tournaments.
