Brave Advance in Hundred Despite Match Cancellation.

Southern Brave reached the Eliminator in The Hundred even though their match against Welsh Fire was abandoned due to rain.

The single point awarded to Southern Brave moved them ahead of Northern Superchargers on net run-rate into second place, securing a top-three finish even if fourth-placed Birmingham Phoenix win their final match on Thursday.

Welsh Fire set a target of 181-5 in their 100 balls, thanks to a powerful fourth-wicket stand of 76 from just 30 balls between Luke Wells and Glenn Phillips.

Wells scored 53 off 30 balls, while Phillips hit 48 off 19, including a 103-meter six.

Brave were struggling at 21-2 after 16 balls, with Alex Davies and James Vince out, when rain halted the match.
