Bournemouth Breaks Records with Evanilson Signing Deal.

Bournemouth has agreed to a club-record £40.2 million deal to sign Brazilian striker Evanilson from Porto.

Bournemouth will pay £31.7 million upfront for Brazilian striker Evanilson, with an additional £8.5 million possible if certain conditions are met. While the Cherries had also considered Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah, they opted for Evanilson, with the 24-year-old set to undergo a medical today.

Last month, Bournemouth owner Bill Foley mentioned that plans were in place if Dominic Solanke's release clause was triggered, which led to his recent £65 million move to Tottenham.

Evanilson, who joined Porto in 2020, earned his first two caps for Brazil this year and was called up for the Copa America.

He scored 17 goals last season across the Portuguese league and Champions League.
