Bompastor Thrives Under the Pressure of Succeeding Hayes.

New Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor embraces the challenge of succeeding Emma Hayes, saying she "really likes the pressure" and is eager to "build on her legacy."

Emma Hayes departed Chelsea at the end of the season to lead the United States, leaving behind a legacy of five consecutive Women’s Super League titles, and seven overall.

Sonia Bompastor, 44, who previously led Lyon to multiple domestic and European victories, now steps in as Chelsea's manager.

In her first press conference, Bompastor expressed her excitement, saying, "I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to build on Emma’s legacy and to showcase who I am both as a manager and as a person."
