Biles at brilliant best as curtain comes down on Murray's career.

Simone Biles dazzled as she reclaimed her all-around gymnastics title, while Andy Murray's remarkable tennis career concluded on day six of the Paris Olympics.

American gymnast Simone Biles, 27, became the oldest winner of the all-around event in 72 years, joining Vera Caslavska and Larisa Latynina as the only women to win two all-around Olympic titles.

Meanwhile, British tennis great Andy Murray, 37, couldn't secure a medal in his final Olympic appearance. He and Dan Evans lost 6-2, 6-4 to the American duo Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz in the men's doubles quarter-finals.

On Thursday, Team GB missed out on rowing gold but earned three more medals at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium, keeping them on track to surpass their Tokyo 2020 medal count.

Helen Glover, Esme Booth, Sam Redgrave, and Rebecca Shorten took silver in the women's four, narrowly beaten by the Netherlands by 0.18 seconds.

Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne and Becky Wilde won bronze in the women's double sculls, while Oli Wilkes, David Ambler, Matt Aldridge, and Freddie Davidson also took bronze in the men's four.

However, British 800m medal hopeful Jake Wightman had to withdraw from the Games due to a hamstring injury.
