Belgium Ends 12-Year Olympic Qualification Drought, Beats Great Britain.

Belgium's women's hockey team has made it to the Olympics for the first time in 12 years! They secured their spot by winning 3-2 against Great Britain in the semi-final of the FIH qualifiers in Valencia, Spain.

Barbara Nelen, Stephanie Vanden Borre, and Justine Rasir scored to secure their places at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Great Britain's chances are still alive, and they have a shot at qualifying.

They'll face Ireland in a crucial match on Saturday. The winner of this third-place playoff will earn a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ireland lost 3-0 to Spain in a shootout on Thursday, and this is Belgium's second time competing in women's hockey at the Olympics, with their first appearance at London 2012.
