BCCI Offers Rs 25 Lakh Cash Reward to IPL Groundsmen and Curators.

On Monday, the BCCI acknowledged the dedication of the groundsmen and curators at the IPL's ten regular venues by announcing a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh.

The BCCI praised the groundsmen and curators as the "unsung heroes" of IPL 2024 while announcing the cash reward.

The ten regular IPL venues are MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, and Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.

This year, there were additional venues: Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Dharamsala. Guwahati served as the second home ground for Rajasthan Royals, while Visakhapatnam hosted Delhi Capitals' initial set of home matches.

The IPL wrapped up in Chennai on Sunday, with Kolkata Knight Riders securing their third trophy by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad with an eight-wicket victory.

Shah expressed his gratitude to the ground staff for their hard work in maintaining excellent pitches throughout the challenging weather conditions of the T20 season. 

He announced a reward of INR 25 lakhs for each of the groundsmen and curators at the regular IPL venues and INR 10 lakhs for those at the additional venues.

Shah also extended congratulations to KKR for their championship win, praising their consistency and Shreyas Iyer's leadership. He thanked the fans for their tremendous support, making the season a success once again.
