BCCI AGM: Choosing India’s Voice at ICC Highlights Bengaluru Gathering.

The main focus of the BCCI's 93rd Annual General Meeting in Bengaluru on Sunday will be to elect two representatives for India at ICC meetings. Notably, selecting a successor for current secretary Jay Shah is not on the agenda.

This meeting is crucial as the International Cricket Council will hold a conference in Dubai following the Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE.

The final of this high-profile tournament is set for October 20, and Jay Shah will still be the BCCI secretary on that date, transitioning to ICC chairman on December 1.

Since Sourav Ganguly's tenure as BCCI president, Shah has typically represented India in ICC discussions, with the most recent meeting taking place in Colombo this July.

Current board president Roger Binny serves as the Alternate Director and can represent the BCCI at global meetings, though he rarely does so.

With a year remaining in his term, it remains to be seen if Binny will continue in this role or if someone else will be nominated at the AGM.
