India’s Avinash Sable struggled in the men’s 3000m steeplechase at the Silesia Diamond League, finishing a disappointing 14th on Sunday.
The 29-year-old reigning Asian Games champion clocked 8:29.96, placing near the bottom in the men’s 3000m steeplechase at the Silesia Diamond League.
Out of 20 runners, 17 finished the race, and three did not complete it.
Morocco's El Bakkali Soufiane won with a time of 8:04.29, while Kenya’s Amos Serem and Ethiopia’s Samuel Firewu finished second and third, respectively, with times of 8:04.29 and 8:04.34.
All top-six finishers from the Paris Olympics earlier this year competed in the event.
