Ashwin's Fifty Leads Dindigul Dragons to Historic TNPL Victory.

R Ashwin's impressive 46-ball 52 from the No. 3 spot, combined with a standout bowling performance, propelled the Dindigul Dragons to their first Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) title. 

This innings marked Ashwin's third consecutive fifty of TNPL 2024, showcasing his consistent brilliance throughout the tournament.

In their third consecutive final, the Lyca Kovai Kings were limited to 129 for 7, thanks to two-wicket performances from Sandeep Warrier, Varun Chakravarthy, and P Vignesh. 

The Dindigul Dragons chased down the target with six wickets and ten balls to spare at Chepauk. Ashwin also played a key role, delivering four tight overs for just 13 runs.

The Kings started strongly, reaching 48 for 1 in five overs. However, Varun Chakravarthy struck twice in two balls during the final powerplay over, dismissing S Sujay (22 off 12) and U Mukilesh. 

B Sai Sudharsan, who had scored a brilliant 123 in the Qualifier 1, fell to a short and wide delivery, leaving the Kings in trouble at 51 for 4.
