Veteran hooker Agustin Creevy scored the winning try as Argentina stunned New Zealand in Wellington, handing the All Blacks a surprising defeat in their Rugby Championship opener.

This win marks Argentina's third victory over New Zealand, following triumphs in Sydney in 2020 and Christchurch in 2022. Their 38-point tally is the most the All Blacks have ever conceded at home.

Former Sale forward Agustin Creevy, 39, scored the decisive try 10 minutes from the end, giving Argentina a five-point lead.

Santiago Carreras sealed the historic win with a late penalty.

New Zealand started strong, with Damian McKenzie kicking an early penalty and setting up Sam Darry's try on his Test debut.

The Pumas quickly answered with a try from Lucio Cinti, but McKenzie restored the All Blacks' lead by assisting Anton Lienert-Brown's score.
