American Crawford Steps Down as Welterweight World Champion.

Unbeaten American Terence Crawford has relinquished his WBA welterweight world title, promoting Brian Norman Jr from interim champion to full world champion.

Crawford recently secured the WBA light-middleweight title by defeating Israil Madrimov, signaling his move to focus on unification fights in this division.

Brian Norman Jr, now elevated from interim to full WBA welterweight champion, is unbeaten in 26 professional fights with 20 knockouts.

The 23-year-old earned the interim title with a stoppage win over Giovani Santillan in May.
