New Zealand crushed Argentina 42-10, avenging their earlier loss to the Pumas in the opening match of the 2024 Rugby Championship.
The All Blacks, after a 38-30 loss to Argentina the previous week, responded with a commanding 42-10 victory in Auckland. They dominated the first half, scoring five tries and taking a 35-3 lead.
Damian McKenzie opened the scoring by finishing a Jordie Barrett chip, followed by tries from captain Ardie Savea, Caleb Clarke, Will Jordan, and Beauden Barrett.
New Zealand extended their lead early in the second half when Jordan scored his second try, bringing his tally to 33 tries in 33 internationals. McKenzie successfully converted all of New Zealand's tries.
Reflecting on the win, Savea said, "Very happy to get the win and respond the way we did. We're the All Blacks, we've got to bring that every week and not rely on a loss to get that response from us."
Argentina managed a late consolation try through Juan Cruz Mallia, but the All Blacks extended their 30-year unbeaten streak at Eden Park to 50 Tests.
