Alfie Hewett bagged 2022 US Open wheelchair singles title.

Britain's Alfie Hewett clinched the US Open men's wheelchair singles title after edging out Shingo Kunieda in the final clash at the Flushing Meadows in New York.

Alfie Hewett smashed out Shingo Kunieda by 7-6(2) 6-1 to secured his third title in his career at the Louis Armstrong Stadium. Previously he has clinched the US Open title in 2018 and 2019.

It's Hewett's first victory over Kunieda at a Grand Slam since the final of Roland Garros last year. He came from 4-2 down in the first set, and broke Kunieda when he served for the opener at 5-4, in the win.
