Alexander Zverev clinched victory at the Diriyah Tennis Cup after six months out with an ankle injury.

After missing the tennis court for six months due to an injury, Olympic champion Alexander Zverev has celebrated a successful comeback with a sensational victory over Dominic Thiem at the Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Alexander Zverev was forced to be out of the tennis court after he sustained ankle ligaments injury in his French Open semi-final defeat to Rafael Nadal in June.

The 25-year-old German appeared in the Diriyah Tennis Cup exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia where he defeated Austria's Dominic Thiem.

Now, Alexander Zverev will face Stan Wawrinka in the last four after the Swiss beat Russia's Andrey Rublev.
