Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the China Open final with a straight-sets win over Daniil Medvedev.
The world number three secured a 7-5, 6-3 victory in just 88 minutes.
This win marks Alcaraz's eighth consecutive victory since his surprising second-round loss to Botic van de Zandschulp at the US Open.
The four-time Grand Slam champion will face either world number one and defending champion Jannik Sinner or Chinese wildcard Bu Yunchaokete in the final.
The first set was tightly contested, with both players struggling to hold serve for four consecutive games, bringing the score to 4-4.
Alcaraz broke Medvedev’s serve in the 10th game and then held his own to win the first set in 48 minutes.
Medvedev took two medical timeouts to address an issue with his left leg as Alcaraz took charge in the second set, ultimately clinching the match with his fourth match point.
