A Historic Repeat: GB's Storey Triumphs in Women's C5 World Road Championship.

Sarah Storey continued her winning streak, claiming yet another world title on a successful day for Great Britain’s Para riders at the 2024 Road and Para-cycling World Championships in Switzerland.

The 46-year-old Sarah Storey triumphed over her British teammate Morgan Newberry, 25, securing her women's C5 road race title in Zurich on Saturday.

In the C1 category, Fran Brown stood out as the sole competitor and took home the gold.

Meanwhile, Daphne Schrager from Great Britain raced to a silver medal in the C2 event, with her teammate Amelia Cass finishing in fourth place.

Storey made her move early, pulling away on the first climb and completing the challenging 70.2km course in a remarkable one hour, 55 minutes, and 28 seconds—finishing over seven minutes ahead of the rest of the field.
