Maiden overs are a testament to the ability of a bowler to bowl a consistent, unscorable line and length across an entire over, there by not conceding a single run. It puts immense pressure on the batsman and consistent bowling of maiden overs often results in the batsman making a mistake and getting out.
Bowling a maiden over requires immense discipline and control by the bowler, in order to ptch the ball in areas where the batsman finds it difficult to score runs.
Today we have compiled a list of test match bowlers who have bowled 35 or more maiden overs in a test innings. There have been 23 such instances and bowlers from England have achieved this feat on most occassions.
