Cristiano Ronaldo netted a brace as his side, Portugal claimed a sensational 4-0 victory over Liechtenstein in their Euro 2024 qualifying opener.
During the match, Cristiano Ronaldo scripted history as he became the most capped international men's player as he was named in Portugal's starting line-up for the 197th time in his career.
Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva gave Portugal a quick 2-0 lead over Liechtenstein before halftime. Later on Ronaldo got on the scoresheet as he made it 3-0 to Portugal in the 51st minute.
In the 63rd minute of the game, Ronaldo netted his second from a superb free-kick and extended the advantage by 4-0. That was his 100th goal in competitive matches for Portugal.
