Zimbabwe has scripted 31 runs victory against Ireland in their opening game at the ICC T20 World Cup in Hobart.
Ireland have won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 174 runs by losing seven wickets. Sikandar Raza comfortably scored 82 runs which further helped his team to put up the total of 174 runs.
In reply, Ireland produced bad start when they lost both their openers early. Finally, they fell short by 31 runs to achieve the target in the stipulated overs.
On Wednesday, Ireland will face Scotland while West Indies will take on Zimbabwe to keep their hopes alive for progressing.
