Red Bull's Max Verstappen aims for a flawless weekend to become the 13th driver to secure a Formula 1 World Championship in the Japanese Grand Prix which will be his second world title.

Verstappen is 104 points clear of nearest rival Charles Leclerc and can retain his F1 title if he gains eight points on the Ferrari man and six on Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.

To retain the F1 title, he needs to win the race and claim the fastest lap, or if he finishes first and Leclerc finishes lower than second place.

But if he wins the race and does not take fastest lap, and Leclerc finishes second, then the championship will go on to the next race in the United States.
