New Zealand clinched comeback victory over Australia in Women's Rugby World Cup 2022.

World Cup hosts and reigning champions New Zealand bounced back to clinch victory over Australia and begins their World Cup title defense with a win in front of a record crowd at Eden Park.

The Black Ferns smashed the Aussies by 41-17 in their opening match of Pool A clash at the women's Rugby World Cup.

The Black Ferns responded late in the first half as tries from Joanah Ngan-Woo and Portia Woodman reduced the deficit to 17-12 at the interval, before Woodman added a second early in the second half to level the contest.

Ruby Tui scored twice late on to extend New Zealand’s winning margin, making a try in the corner on 68 minutes before diving over for another six minutes from time.
