Liverpool produced dynamic Champions League performance to clinch 7-1 victory over the Scottish side, Rangers and move close to qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages.

Liverpool and the Rangers went into the half-time break level at 1-1 at Ibrox, but Liverpool finished the full-time with a 7-1 win, including a six-minute hat-trick for substitute Mohamed Salah.

Roberto Firmino struck the first two of Liverpool's goals and delivered an assist for big-money signing Darwin Nunez to make it 3-1 in the second half.

Mohamed Salah was sent on as a substitute by Jurgen Klopp in the 67th minute of the game. He then flashed his magic and scored three goals in just six minutes, taking the score line to brutal new heights.

His hat-trick, in 6 minutes and 12 seconds, was the fastest in Champions League history, to beat the previous record held by Bafetimbi Gomis in Lyon's 7-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in 2011.
