The rebel LIV golf series has claimed that it has found a way for players to earn official world golf ranking points after forming "strategic alliance" with the Middle East and Africa (Mena) Tour. Now they will watch how Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) officials will respond to such a trick to protect the standing of its players.
The LIV Golf series has assured his players that they will earn ranking points after this agreement with the Middle East and Africa (Mena) Tour.
LIV Golf is holding the sixth event of its inaugural season this week just north of Bangkok and the MENA Tour said those competing at Stonehill Golf Course will immediately qualify for official world ranking points.
MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Tour is among the eligible tours listed on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) website since 2016.
