India secured six-runs victory over Australia in the first warm-up match of the T20 World Cup 2022.

The men in blue, India registered a narrow six-runs victory over Australia in the first warm-up match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Winning the toss Australia elected to ball first. Fifties by KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav helped India to post a score of 186 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing 187 to win, Australia was off to a great start as Australia captain Aaron Finch gained form, smacking 76 runs off 54 balls with 7 fours & 3 sixes. Mitchell Marsh, opening the innings, scored 35 runs off 18 balls with 4 fours & 2 sixes. But India bowled out the Aussies for 180 in 20 overs.

The last two overs of the Australian Innings were the real game changer for Team India as Aussies lost 6 wickets in the final two overs. Four of them coming in the final over bowled by Mohammed Shami and 2 in the Harshal Patel's 19th over while Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed 2 wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal managed 1 wicket each.
