Great Britain captain Dan Clarke retires from basketball

Great Britain's most capped player Dan Clarke has announced his retirement from professional basketball.

Dan Clarke's highest GB score: 25 v Poland (A) 2017 Best three-point shooting: 5/5 vs Bosnia (A) 2010.

Dan Clarke became the only British player to cross 1,000 points as well as the only player to cross 500 rebounds.

Dan Clarke: "It's been a difficult decision and I think it's not one that a lot of people would expect," he said. "It comes down to me being at peace with what I've done. I'm more than happy and proud of what I've done in my career." "Being able to walk away from the game on my own terms has forced me to go through injuries or anything else. I feel really good at the moment."
