Italy's time trial specialist, Filippo Ganna has shattered cycling's hour world record in Track Cycling at the Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen, Switzerland.
Double world time trial champion Filippo Ganna edged past the previous mark reaching a distance of 56.792km in 60 minutes, going 1.244km further, and in the process, he broke Chris Boardman's 'best human effort' record of 56.375km.
Filippo Ganna bettered the August mark of his Ineos Grenadiers team-mate Daniel Bigham of Great Britain by 1.244km at the same venue.
