EURO Champs England Women's clinched victory over world champions the United States at Wembley Stadium.

European champions England Women's claimed victory in the heavyweight battle against World Cup champions USA by 2-1 goals in front of more than 76,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
The Lionesses earned their first victory over the world champions the United States in more than five-and-a-half years since 2017's SheBelieves Cup.
England had taken an early lead on a lightning quick attacking move that saw Lauren Hemp netted the opening goal for her team in the 10th minute of the game. The Americans soon equalize the score in the first half through a magnificent goal from Sophia Smith.
Later England were awarded a penalty, Georgia Stanway stepped up and netted the second goal for her team and delivered her team 2-1 lead over USA.
