Australia's World Cup winning captain Aaron Finch has been reprimanded by International Cricket Council (ICC) for using inappropriate language during the first T20I match between Australia and England in Perth on October 9. He had used offensive words during the match, which was caught by the stump mic.

The controversial incident has occurred in the ninth over of England innings in Australia's three-match T20I series opener on Sunday.

Aaron Finch lost his cool and delivered some offensive words on-field umpires Sam Nogajski and Donovan Koch following a caught-behind appeal which was recorded by the stump mic.

Finch was found disobeying the Article 2.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "use of an audible obscenity during an International Match."
